Krabi, Ao Nang and Railay: how to get around

Krabi is spread out: the airport, Krabi Town, Ao Nang beach and Railay each have their own arrival point, and several piers serve different boats. Ferries to Koh Phi Phi leave Klong Jilad Pier; Railay East is reached by boat from Ao Nam Mao Pier; and the Phuket ferry stops at Nopparat Thara Pier for Ao Nang. Match the pier on your ticket to where you are staying.

From the airport

Transfers from Krabi Airport to Ao Nang were sold online for November 2026 from about 990 THB for a private van. A private Krabi taxi company quotes 500 THB per car to Krabi Town and 750 THB to Ao Nang; confirm the price when booking. Check whether a price is for the vehicle or per person, and whether your hotel is in Ao Nang, Krabi Town or Railay, which needs a boat for the final leg.

The Ao Nang Princess ferry from Phuket stops at both Nopparat Thara Pier (Ao Nang) and Railay East, so travellers from Phuket can land directly at either.
