From the airport to the beaches or town

AOT lists two public buses, both from Entrance 3 of the domestic terminal:

For the orange bus, AOT's directions are to go to exit 3, turn left and follow the signs to the public transport parking area. You can also buy 8411 tickets online and show the confirmation to the conductor. Keep the ticket until the end of the ride, since inspectors check it.

AOT also lists airport limousine and car-rental counters. For a door-to-door ride at night, compare those with an app ride before you land.

Arriving from Bangkok

Flights from Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang take 1 hr 25–40 min and were sold online for November 2026 from about 1,300 THB with a cabin bag only. The Transport Co. coach from Mo Chit 2 takes about 14 hours and ends at Phuket Bus Terminal 2, with some tickets ending earlier at Thalang. Bangkok to Phuket has the timetable.

From the bus terminal to Patong, Phuket Smart Bus lists a Bus Terminal–Patong route at 50 THB, and a free Dragon Line. Check which terminal it serves before relying on it with luggage.

They are separate places. A ticket that says only "Phuket" is not enough to find your departure.

Ferries from Rassada Pier

Rassada Pier is the departure point for the ferries listed below:

  • Krabi: Ao Nang Travel's Ao Nang Princess to Nopparat Thara Pier (Ao Nang) and Railay East, 850 THB for November 2026. The operator moved its Phuket departure from 08:30 to 10:30 from 21 August 2026, and some dates sold a 13:30 sailing. See Phuket to Krabi.
  • Koh Phi Phi: ferries to Ton Sai Pier from 11:00, about 2 hours, from 500 THB; speedboats from 08:30, about 1 hour, from 750 THB.

Some Phuket speedboats to Krabi use other piers, such as Laem Hin or Bangrong, rather than Rassada. Read the pier on the ticket and allow for the road transfer to it.

Getting around the island

Away from the Smart Bus route and the orange bus to Phuket Town, use an app ride, a hotel transfer or a car from the rental desks AOT lists at the airport. Agree any non-metered fare before setting off.
