Pattaya transport: buses, baht buses and boats

Pattaya has no single bus station: coaches from Suvarnabhumi and Ekkamai use Pattaya North Bus Station, The Transport Co. uses Pattaya Bus Terminal, and Bangkok minivans stop at their own offices or Bali Hai Pier. From Suvarnabhumi, the direct coach takes about 2 hours for 147 to 158 THB. In town, shared baht-bus songthaews run set routes, and boats to Koh Larn leave Bali Hai Pier.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport

AOT places the Pattaya coach counters at Level 1, Gate 8 of Suvarnabhumi. Roong Reuang Coach ran every one to two hours from 06:30 to 18:30 on the dates checked, about 2 hours to Pattaya North Bus Station. The Transport Co. ran two coaches a day from the airport's Public Transportation Center to Pattaya Bus Terminal. The Suvarnabhumi guide shows where each boards.

Going back to the airport, Roong Reuang Coach left Pattaya North Bus Station ten times a day from 07:00 to 21:00 for 158 THB. Leave a margin for road traffic before your check-in deadline.

Getting around town

Shared songthaews (baht buses) run set routes through town. From 10 April 2026, operators raised the shared fare from the long-standing 10 THB to 15 to 20 THB per person, depending on route and distance, as reported by Pattaya Mail; travellers in August 2026 also report paying 15 THB. Hiring a truck for yourself is a separate price agreed with the driver, so say where you are going before you get in if you are not on a regular route.

For a late arrival at a bus station, an app ride is the door-to-door alternative if you do not know the songthaew routes.

Boats to Koh Larn

Boats to Koh Larn leave Bali Hai Pier. The Pattaya–Koh Larn passenger-boat club raised its fare from 30 to 40 THB per person from 10 April 2026, Prachachat reported. Thai news coverage in July 2026 showed long queues at the pier over a holiday weekend, so allow time on long weekends and public holidays.

Departure times were not published for the dates checked; ask at the pier. Speedboats are a separate, faster option: a traveller in May 2026 reported 150 THB per person, a user report to confirm on the day.
